Trains between Dundee and Aberdeen have been disrupted after severe flooding following heavy rain. It is estimated more than 100 properties in Dundee were affected by rising waters on Thursday night. A spokesman for Tayside Fire and Rescue Service said some streets had been under three to four feet of water. The M9 was also closed for a period between J3 & J4 after significant flooding, with water up to six inches deep lying on the carriageway.Tayside Fire and Rescue incident commander Stewart Edgar said it was the worst flooding he had seen in Dundee for many years. "There was a deluge of rain and that, incorporated with the high tide, produced severe flooding," he said. "There was about two-to-three feet of water affecting many residential and commercial properties."
